September – a really special time to visit the Cote d Azur

September is a really special time to visit the South of France when the weather is still lovely and the crowds have gone.

While the obvious destinations are on the coast the real beauty is in the hills.
Our special places are St Paul de Vence and nearby  Vence – both only 20 minutes from Nice airport and ideally located for exploring the whole of the Cote d Azur from St Tropez to Menton. Our choice is to hire a car at Nice airport so that we can travel around but there is an excellent bus and train service. Head for the hills and you will be in for a special surprise
