More than just a music festival, Fête de la Musique is a free event across France that is definitely one of the not-to-be-missed.
Music spills out from the bars and restaurants onto the streets with every type of music imaginable, from local amateur teen bands, professional classical musicians, to traditional folk bands. all the concerts and performances are free to the public and none of the artists are paid.
Our favorite location is La Colle Sur Loup which is only 20 minutes from Nice Airport and central for all the coastal locations and hilltop villages such as St Paul de Vence and Vence. Great place to stay with lots of restaurants and many things to do so .
